Tea ceremony report

We had a tea ceremony lesson in Intermediate I class today.
Although it was an informal ceremony, students seemed a little nervous because of the solemn atmosphere.

First, our vice principal, Ms. Mori explained how to appreciate and perform tea ceremony.
Students were impressed by the formalized manners of Japanese tea ceremony.

After watching Ms. Mori’s tea-serving manners, students tried performing the ceremony.
It was difficult at first but they improved a lot in a short period of time thanks to Ms. Mori’s teaching.
Students enjoyed performing and drinking maccha (Japanese green tea) at the end.

We hope our students will continue to learn the Japanese culture as well as the language!
