Principal of Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute Receives Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award

On December 19, 2023, during the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award ceremony held in Kyoto, individuals who have contributed significantly to the promotion of Japanese culture and international cultural exchange were honored. Among them, Principal Takahide Ezoe of Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute received the “Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award.”

The introduction from the Agency for Cultural Affairs stated:

“Takahide Ezoe has long been a pioneer in Japanese language education, not only for international students but also for refugees and people with disabilities. He has also made significant contributions to the development of Japanese language education in our country by initiating an online Japanese language education program for Ukrainian evacuees.”

We are extremely proud to receive such an honorable award.

Moving forward, under the leadership of Principal Ezoe, all faculty and staff at Shinjuku Japanese Language School are committed to actively promoting the advancement of Japanese language education.
