On June 4, 2024, Shinjuku Japanese Language Institute welcomed Surangel S. Whipps Jr., President of the Republic of Palau, who was visiting Japan, to discuss the “Japan-Palau Friendship Progress Study Abroad Scholarship.” Also present were Gustav Aitaro, Minister of State of the Republic of Palau, Peter Adelbai, Palauan Ambassador to Japan, and Hiroyasu Orikasa, Japanese Ambassador to Palau.

The meeting focused on the details of the scholarship and future cooperation.

Shinjuku Japanese Language School felt honored to have the opportunity to meet with the President and expressed their commitment to contributing to the development of individuals who will serve as bridges between the two countries through Japanese language education.
