We have just started spring holiday classes. During these classes, we will use the material you studied with and, in a relaxed atmosphere, you will be able to talk with your teachers or friends about many things in Japanese. You can revise for your JLPT classes, ask questions, play games, sing songs, read books…
Today, the topic of the class was “What is your name?” What is the meaning of your name? Who gave you this name? What is your nickname? Do you like it? The class was very interesting as we studied different nicknames, such as kirakira names (so called bizarre names which sound completely different from traditional Japanese names), strange nicknames, the meaning of the characters and the differences between other countries names. So, “what is your name?”
