A guidance counseling session for junior high and high school students was held at the Japanese Brazilian Center Educational Institute in Gunma Prefecture on Saturday, July 30th.
Upon request, Head Guidance Counsellor Takeshi Yoshizawa and Principal Ezoe spent around two hours talking to Brazilian students of Japanese descent about continuing on to technical schools and universities. It seems that after listening to their talk, the students came to understand that higher education is a real possibility. Their guardians also listened carefully to the Principal’s enthusiastic speech.
Counsellor Yoshizawa was able to interact with the students during the relaxed session, as the second half consisted of personal consultations, with students asking individual questions about their situations, and even asking questions about mathematics.
