We’re just back from the Japan Expo, a Japanese cultural fair held every year in Paris. This was the 12th year for the annual event.

At the Japan Expo, attendees can enjoy traditional Japanese culture and pop culture, food, clothing, music, and more. Anime, manga, and games are especially popular. There were also attendees who came in cosplay. This is the third time that we’ve been to Japan Expo, and we feel that the level of cosplaying has greatly increased. The cosplayers are very serious about creating their costumes so that they won’t lose to the skill of their Japanese counterparts.

In this difficult time for Japan, we were very touched to be able to meet with people who have such a deep interest in our country. We’d love to go again next year.
