On August 9, 3 SNG staff and 11 students participated in an animation creation event at Tokyo Technology Design Center.

Mr. Taku Sugiyama, a leading figure in Japanese animation taught us the basics of animation creation.
His has been involved in the making of famous animations such as “Hakujaden”, “Alice in Wonderland” and “Dororo” etc.

In the class, we drew 24 pictures and put them in the manual animation machine.
When we turned the handle the pictures moved just like an animation program.
What we did was was very simple, but it was appropriate for beginners.

SNG students did very well, and took their pictures home.
Perhaps some participants may become famous animators in the future!
